While we at Sexual + Being firmly believe that trans lives should be celebrated (and trans deaths mourned) every day of the year, we’re one hundred percent here for the annual Trans Day of Remembrance. This year, we recognized the violence faced by trans women with a moving piece by writer Naomi Kanakia. We also celebrated the every day joys of trans life from the perspective of one trans man. And because, let’s be real, there was no way to avoid the election this month (yes, that was still this month), we also gave some fun, sexy tips for how to take care of yourself regardless of which way the election went.
1. We caught up with TransLatina activist and influencer Nellie Izarza.
2. We asked: Who cares what it’s called, as long as it feels good?

3. We recognized the names and lives of our fallen trans brothers and sisters for this year’s Trans Day of Remembrance.
